Muffin Tops

Commonly known as the best part of the muffin, muffin tops are a celebrated part of American culture. Seinfeld devoted an entire episode to them. Sookie uses them on Gilmore Girls to cheer up Lorelai after Christopher leaves. They're even lovingly used as a term for your midsection (hmm, maybe lovingly isn't quite right).

But did you know, they actually exist in their pure bottomless form?

Behold, muffin tops, available at your nearest grocery store!

But that's not the weird bit. What's odd is that these VitaTops muffin tops are supposed to be only 100 calories each, and chock full of nutrition. What will they think of next?

Great find! As you so correctly referenced the Seinfeld episode, the muffin tops endeavor was found to only work if the tops were removed from the WHOLE muffin. This left them with a delicious predicament...what to do with the bottoms (hilarity ensued)?

This was preceded by an attempt to only bake the tops...which led to horrible muffin taste experiences.

I'm sure these are really good...seriously...since they're frozen...and only 100 calories...

TASTE BONANZA! Despite the sarcasm, I'll try 'em.

i love that seinfield...not even the homeless people would take the muffin bottoms. "it's bad enough we got people out there trying to hook up the homeless to a rickshaw...and now this?!" hahaha
